Wherever we explore here in the American Southwest, the cliff swallow is ever present. As we sip our coffee and plan our day, they shoot in and out of their nests in the desert cliffs below our feet; as we cook dinner after a fulfilling ride, they whistle through the mountain sky above our heads.
